Elevate Your Pipe Smoking Experience

Yorgos Mitakidis is a handmade pipe maker based in Thessaloniki, Greece. His journey into craftsmanship began early, with a deep interest in painting and music. Over time, he found his true creative outlet in the art of pipe making.

While studying Agricultural Technology at the University of Thessaloniki, Yorgos bought his first pipe and tobacco—an emotional nod to a family friend whose dignified pipe-smoking left a lasting impression. That moment sparked a lifelong passion.

One of his first hands-on experiences came from working with a friend to craft traditional bagpipes. This introduced him to the tools, materials, and techniques of the workshop—an environment he quickly felt at home in. After completing his studies and internship, he committed fully to pipe making.

In 2017, Yorgos opened his own workshop. Since then, he has been creating finely crafted pipes inspired by the classic English tradition. Each piece is unique, bearing his signature, a production number, and the year it was made—a personal mark of quality and authenticity.
